Soutzoukakia Lagada

METHOD OF PREPARATION

Ingredients

  • 500g beef mince

  • 500g pork mince

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs

  • ½ cup olive oil

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tbsp vinegar

  • Salt & pepper

  • Oregano

  • Sweet paprika

  • Chili flakes (boukouvo)

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and knead very well until you have a fluffy mixture.

Leave it in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

Shape the mixture into small sausages (soutzoukakia) and grill them in the oven for about 30 minutes, flipping them halfway through.

Serve with thin slices of raw onion and chili flakes (boukouvo). Alternatively, serve with fried potatoes or rice.
