İri Kiofte (Large Meatballs)

METHOD OF PREPARATION

Ingredients
  • 1 cup bulgur

  • 1 dry onion

  • ½ cup olive oil

  • 10 dried prunes

  • ½ tsp pepper

  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • 4 tbsp flour

  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

Sauté the onion, then add the tomato sauce and half a glass of water. Let it simmer until it thickens. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from heat.

In the soaked bulgur, add the flour and 2 large spoonfuls of the sauce, then mix well.

Knead the mixture into spherical shapes and place them into the pot with the simmering sauce.

After half an hour, add the prunes.

Remove the prunes, mash them into a purée, and stir them back into the pot to evenly distribute the flavor.
